Penguins Take it in 7, Win Stanley Cup 2009!

With history not on their side, and after losing the first two games of the series, the Pittsburgh Penguins have come back from the edge of elimination and has now captured the Stanley Cup 2009 by beating the Detroit Red Wings in last night's game 7!

The city of Pittsburgh has again taken on a frenzied pace as the Penguins follow suit after the Steelers successful season. With the amazing play of Maxime Talbot, who scored the two important goals of Pittsburgh, the Penguins dominated the game and never looked back, stunning the Detroit crowd and finally breaking the home-ice victories in the series. Since game 1, only the home team have won the games up until the Penguins emotional victory in Detroit during the series' deciding match.

The Red Wings tried their best but could not beat the Penguins barrage and their passion as they failed to repeat as champions. Pittsburgh now prepares their offseason for another charge at the Stanley Cup, which they have qualified for for 2 years in a row. Pittsburgh is the place to be right now as the celebrations begin. Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Stanley Cup Champions for 2009!
