French Open 2009: Federer Wings Men's Singles Championship, ties record!

On the rainy 15th day of the tournament, the rain wasn't the only one pouring as Roger Federer poured in an amazing performance against 23rd seed Robin Soderling, the person who knocked out world number one and king of clay, Rafael Nadal. There would be no upset this time around as Roger Federer came out of the gates swining and beating the tough Swede in three straight sets, 6-1,7-6, 6-4. Federer didn't have too much of a difficult time, other than the 2nd set which ended in a tie break, as he won the first and third set in convincing fashion. With the title, Federer became only the sixth male to achieve a career grand slam and tied the record set by Pete Sampras winning 14 majors.
