Argentina World Cup Hopes Suffer a Blow with Loss to Ecuador

The hopes of Argentina to lay claim to a slot for the World Cup 2010 suffered a setback with a 0-2 upset loss to Ecuador and with Chile winning over Bolivia. Things now got tougher for the Argentineans who played well in their tiff against Ecuador for most of their tight game before giving up the opening goal in the 72nd minute, coming from Walter Ayovi. Pablo Palacios added another goal in the 83rd minute to increase the Ecuador lead to 2-0. Now Argentina needs to work double time in order to keep their qualifying hopes alive.
