Defending Champ Rafael Nadal Pulls Out From Wimbledon With Knee Injury

Spain's Rafael Nadal has not had a good month this June. After his early exit from his title defense at the French Open at the hands of Swedish Robin Soderling in the fourth round, another unfortunate event has befallen the world's number 1. Rafa Nadal has withdrew from Wimbledon due to knee problems that have limited his movement and his performance during practice matches for the championships. This follows after some other tennis players pulled out from the grand slam event, another notable name who withdrew is Gael Monfils who is out with a wrist injury. Nadal will now just watch from the sidelines as the opening for the new champion will be fought by countless challengers. One of which is Roger Federer, who coming from his 14th title is more likely to have a good chance of getting his 15th with Nadal out of the contest. Federer will also get a chance to reclaim the world number 1 title which is currently with Nadal, who can only hope that at the end of Wimbeldon he will still be able to retain the title which he worked so hard to claim.
