NBA Finals 2009 Game 5: Magic Looking to Bounce Back, Lakers Trying To Win It All!

After the exciting Game 4 win in Orlando, the Los Angeles Lakers are now one win away from an NBA Title. Will there be someone standing in their way is the big question. And undoubtedly, something (or someone) big will be there right between Kobe and the NBA Finals Bill Russell trophy, that big guy is Dwight Howard and the rest of the Orlando Magic.

After a very dissapointing 99-91 loss in Game 4, the Orlando Magic can make one last stand at home to try and stop or at least delay a Lakers celebration. Rashard Lewis, a virtual no-show in Game 4 with only 6 points to show for 46 minutes of action, needs to step up and join forces with Hedo Turkoglu and Dwight Howard to try and stop Kobe and the whole Lakers gang who can now smell the scent of victory.

On the other hand, the Lakers despite being on the verge of a championship need not be satisfied and go for the kill. Remember Dallas against Miami in '06? And that was with a 3-0 advantage. I'm not saying that the Lakers are comparable to the '06 Mavericks team, but if any team can pull off the same thing that the Heat did back then, it's the Magic. With Dwight Howard as a constant mismatch maker, Kobe, Pau and the rest of the Lakers need to go in for the kill while the Magic are still reeling from an emotional loss.

Game 5 proves to be an exciting game in this year's series. Will a new champion be crowned or will we still get to see the bright lights of LA for Game 6? These questions will be answered tonight. Game 5 will be later at 8 PM Eastern Time.
